Chef Vincenzo Loverso grew up in Sicily, but has been in the Gaslamp District since 1994 as an executive chef and restaurant owner. His love for cooking was inspired by his mother, but his dedication to quality ingredients is unmatched.
Chef Loverso started inspecting all of the fresh seafood that arrived at his restaurant, Osteria Panevino in 1994, until he decided to open a fishery of his own, South Bay Fishery. Now, South Bay Fishery provides all of the seafood for his restaurants, including Osteria Panevino, Greystone Steakhouse, The Butcher’s Cut, Osetra Seafood & Steaks, and Farmer’s Table.
Today with more than 20,000 square feet of space, South Bay Fishery makes it easy for locals and restaurants alike to purchase fresh and frozen seafood at wholesale prices.
The seafood we offer includes: yellowtail, white seabass, black cod, snapper, grouper and thresher shark; Pacific swordfish, flounder, tuna, salmon, shrimp, spot prawns, oysters, scallops, clams, rock crab, spiny lobster, and more.
